Howard W. Geiger, Jr. (New York), a Senior Advisor, has been a member of the VCFA Advisory Board for over ten years and is an investor in the three most recent VCFA funds. He focuses on identifying and analyzing potential investment opportunities. Prior to joining VCFA, Mr. Geiger was a partner at Crane Capital Associates, LLC (acquired by Bear Stearns and later by JP Morgan Chase). Mr. Geiger also advised clients on investments in venture capital and LBO funds for Mitchell Hutchins Institutional Investors and Hillman Ventures. Mr. Geiger was a financial analyst for a number of firms including Merrill Lynch, IDS and Morgan Guaranty. Mr. Geiger graduated from Dartmouth College and received an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is a CFA charter holder and holds memberships in the Association for Investment Management and Research and the New York Society of Security Analysts.
